Hi, Nice to Meet You

Hello. I am Caitlin. Nice to meet you!

I am beyond excited to welcome you to my blog.

Those of you that know me would know that I have been blogging for a while on Now, I have taken the plunge and birthed my own blog.

Let me tell you a bit about why I decided to create my own blog. Firstly, I absolutely love writing. I always have, always will. Secondly, I am super passionate about challenging social norms and having my own blog will allow me to do that 1000000000%. Finally, life is too short to be scared to build your own platform.

What do I want this blog to be?

In a nutshell, I want to discuss stuff that matters. Look, I am terrible at small talk and my blog will really reflect that. Actually, I will rephrase. I can DO small talk, I just hate it with a passion. I love to explore why things are the way they are, challenge societal attitudes and celebrate people who do amazing things in the community.

Why do you want to read it?

Because I think in this vanity-tainted, social media driven society, it is refreshing to read something real. I am embarrassingly honest (it is a strength and a flaw, trust me). But the absolutely amazing thing about being honest is that you become relatable. If you want authentic and relatable, you have come to the right place.

Who am I?

Writing this who am I stuff is super awkward, so cut me some slack.

“Hi, I am Caitlin. I am a 21-year-old girl from Western Australia and I love chocolate more than life itself. I haven’t always known what I wanted to do, but I am slowly figuring it out. I am currently studying Media & Communications and taking as many opportunities as I can. I love to write, dance (very enthusiastically), sing (again, very enthusiastically) and have deep and meaningful conversations”.

Favourite colour: Blue
Favourite song: The Kids From Yesterday – My Chemical Romance
Favourite movie: The Social Network
If you could star in a movie, what movie would it be? Mamma Mia. Seriously? Is that even a question? Meryl Streep and ABBA, come on.
If you could be somebody else for a day, who would it be? LADY GAGA. She is an icon.
Biggest fear? Getting dementia. I cannot think of anything worse than not being able to remember your own life.

I hope that answers your questions.

In visiting this blog, you are supporting my dream. Thank you so much for being here and I hope that my content inspires you in some way.
